Ken Galasso Happy New Year! As we begun a new year, it gives one time to reflect on the thanks and blessings for the past year and the hope and challenges that the New Year brings. So as we enter the New Year please allow me to express my thanks and appreciation to all who have made the chamber such a positive and enjoyable experience my second time around. First of all, my thanks to all our members, for whom without their support and generosity this chamber could not succeed. Second to all our major sponsors and contributors although their are many of you some of the key President's Club members need specific mention such as our Platinum Sponsors Lewis Operating Companies and Young Homes; Gold Sponsors , City of Fontana and Learning Plus Associates; Silver Sponsors , Citslinc International, JW Mitchell Land Co. LLC, San Antonio Community Hospital and San Bernardino County Supervisors; Bronze Sponsors , Burrtec Waste, Fontana Herald News, Kaiser Permanente Medical, K. In addition as a non-profit organization our success is totally dependant on our volunteers such as our Board of Directors, Ambassadors and numerous volunteer members, our thanks and gratitude to all your individual support and effort of the Fontana Chamber of Commerce. Thank you all who attended our Appreciation Luncheon on December 20 th at the California Speedway for giving the chamber the opportunity to thank you properly and enjoy some time racing at the Cal Speed Karting Experience. We had a fun time competing amongst each other and fulfilling our need for speed. Now a look ahead to the New Year, we are scheduled to have our Mid-Year Retreat in January to review the progress for this fiscal year to date. To share just a few of these highlights so far such as, reaching our 400 member milestone mark; our successful "Drive for Five" membership drive in November (we had 15 new members join); hosting a candidate forum for the Mayoral, City Council and Fontana Unified School Board Candidates; and the completion of six major events the Installation Dinner in June, the Annual Retreat in July, the Golf Classic in August, our 8 th Annual Women's Expo in September, the Gran Baile in October and the Las Posadas in December. As we look ahead to the future upcoming events are the Mayor's Town Hall Meeting and Business Roundtable scheduled of January 25 th, contact the chamber as soon as possible as we expect a sell out CROWD. Don't forget to mark your calendars for the Mayor's Gala scheduled for March 31, 2007 for more information and reservations call (909) 428-8360. In conclusion it has been a great first six months and I look forward to the next six to be just as exciting.
